 
Looe is a friendly fishing village with many shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes that attracts plenty of visitors all year round. The cobbled streets are narrow and twisting with many historical houses and interesting architecture. There are art galleries, craft displays, antique and gift shops and a busy thriving fish market.
 Looe beach is safe with shallow seas and many a rock pool for the children to explore, or they can enjoy the excitement of fishing for crabs on Looes Quay side. There is various summer time entertainment including the trampolines on the beach. There are beach side cafes and restaurants with refreshments available throughout the day. You can fish from the Banjo Pier, from the rocks or take a leisurely boat trip from the Quay side returning to the harbour with your catch. Coastline walks are endless with breathtaking views as the cliffs surrounding Looe form part of the South West Coast Path.
 There is other local entertainment including golf, tennis and horse riding or the Monkey Sanctuary and nearby Porfell Animal Park.
A short trip away is the Eden Project, Bodmin Moor is within 10 miles and pay a visit to other local seaside villages such as Polperro and Fowey. Visit the elegant National Trust properties of Lanhydrock House, Cotehele or Anthony House and enjoy a stroll through their magnificent grounds or even find the Lost Gardens of Heligen.
Scuba diving has become increasingly popular with the sinking of HMS Scylla off Rame Head for a spectacular man made reef. Looe is also home to the headquarters of the National Shark Angling Club of Great Britain and boats trips run regularly from the Quay.
Golf can be enjoyed at Looe Bindown Golf Club, a privately owned course that is a great test for any player and has some fantastic views of Looe bay and St. Georges Island. Visitors are made most welcome and use of the 19th is recommended. The famous St.Mellion Golf and Country Club is more than worth a visit offering the Old Course or for the brave the Nickalus Course. Be warned. There are four other quality challenging courses locally.
 Dine at some quality restaurants such as Trawlers on the Quay situated almost directly opposite Rame Apartment on the other side of the harbour or Couches of Polperro. There are numerous other fine restaurants using local produce and the fruits of the sea.
Walk the coast, laze on the beach or simply sit on the patio of Plaidy Apartment and soak up the spectacular views. Or simply watch the world and the boats go by.
